KIDS MARTIAL ARTS FOR AGES 3-15
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for Kids & Teens in North Port
Kids and teens at Gracie North Port learn more than grappling. They build the strength, focus, and resilience that show up at school, at home, and in every challenge they face.

MORE THAN JUST AN ACTIVITY. A LIFE SKILL.
Kids Jiu Jitsu Builds Confidence, Focus, and Discipline.
At Gracie North Port, our kids jiu jitsu program teaches more than grappling. On the mats, kids learn to push through challenges, solve problems under pressure, and respect their training partners.
Off the mats, that same focus and discipline shows up in school, in friendships, and in everything they take on.
Unlimited Kids Classes, Mon-Fri
Your child can train every weekday with no class limits. The more time they spend in our kids jiu jitsu classes, the faster they progress -- and the more fun they have.
A Better Alternative to Screen Time
Instead of sitting at home with a tablet, kids burn energy in our martial arts classes, stay active, and challenge themselves on the mats. Kids jiu jitsu keeps them engaged in a way that's fun, social, and healthy.
Real Self-Defense, Real Confidence
Kids who train Brazilian jiu jitsu walk taller, speak up more, and handle pressure better -- in class, on the playground, and at home. Parents tell us they see the change within weeks.
Three Age-Appropriate Class Times

GROWING UP, LEVELING UP.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Grows With Your Child
Most youth sports peak in middle school. Brazilian jiu jitsu is different -- it grows with your child. Young kids develop balance and body awareness. Tweens build discipline and focus. Teens gain real self-defense skills and confidence to handle whatever comes their way.
Through Gracie North Port's Royce Gracie lineage, your child trains in proven techniques that progress with them through every belt and every stage.

What Our Students and Parents Say

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Safety is our top priority. Kids train in a controlled environment with experienced coaches who teach technique first, not strength or aggression. The result is fun, safe training that builds confidence while minimizing risk.
We welcome kids as young as 3. At that age, classes focus on movement, coordination, and basic skills. As they get older, training expands into more advanced techniques, self-defense, and competition prep.
Not at all. Jiu Jitsu meets kids where they are. Whether your child is already active or just starting out, training builds coordination, strength, and confidence step by step.
Unlike some schools that limit attendance, we offer unlimited classes Monday through Friday. Your child can train as often as they want, giving them more chances to grow, progress, and have fun.
Yes. Jiu Jitsu naturally teaches focus, patience, and respect. Parents often tell us they see improvements in school, at home, and in how their child handles challenges.
Competition is optional. Some kids love testing themselves at tournaments, others prefer training just for fun, fitness, and self-defense. We support both paths equally.
No uniform is required to start. Just bring comfortable athletic clothes (t-shirt and shorts or leggings). Once your child decides to stick with it, we’ll guide you on the best gear for no-gi training.
Kids build real confidence by solving problems on the mat. Not by memorizing moves, but by learning they can stay calm, adapt, and succeed against resistance. That sense of accomplishment carries into school, sports, and everyday life.
